The One Book One Island campaign run all summer by the PEI Public Library Service is drawing to a close. Louise Penny draws readers in to the fictional world of Chief Inspector Armand Gamache and the community of Three Pines, beginning with Still Life and continuing to the latest release in the series, A Trick of the Light. Penny will be on the Island September 13th and 14th.
In the meantime, those curious about real life murders on PEI can learn about some of the memorable crimes that shaped our Island history at the Confederation Centre Public Library Thursday September 8th at 7:00 p.m. Believe it or not, the “Gentle Island” has seen its share of murders over the years. Join Island Historian Boyde Beck for a discussion of some solved – and unsolved – murders that have occurred on the Island. Murder on the Island?
