Afghanistan: Peace building through Education and Literacy

Susan Hartley of Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan will talk about the organisation and its work to engage Canadians in supporting the empowerment of Afghan women and their struggle for basic human rights.  Founded in 1996, Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan is a network of volunteer members from all across Canada. Susan’s Afghan artifacts are currently on display in the Library and will be used to illustrate her presentation.
