SeaWords is a 1-week creative writing workshop sponsored by the University of Prince Edward Island and the L.M. Montgomery Institute. The next SeaWords Workshop will be this summer, August 2 – 6, 2010, and will be hosted at the Haviland Club in Charlottetown.

Returning this year we have Jackie Kaiser, one of the top literary agents in Canada, from Westwood Creative Artists, Erika Ritter, a novelist, playwright, essayist and radio broadcaster from Toronto, and Christy Ann Conlin, a best-selling novelist from Nova Scotia.

Also joining the roster to offer their insight and experiences are Beth Powning, author of this year’s The Sea Captain’s Wife, and award-winning blogger, Bonnie Stewart.

Registration is $500.00 per person (including meals for the week), and is on a first come, first serve basis. To register email seawords@upei.ca.

The SeaWords workshop aims to educate creative writers about the technical and business aspects of their craft while immersing them in invaluable one-on-one time with knowledgeable and successful authors of our time. We encourage you to consider a trip to the Island this summer. It will be an event you will not soon forget. Registration is capped at 20 participants so register early!
