Script Happens wants to showcase your talent.

Submit your original, one-act script for a chance to present at annual Script Happens production.

In preparation for another great season, Second Stage, a development wing of the Saint John Theatre Company, is looking for submissions for its annual one-act play event, Script Happens.

Script Happens has been a vital component of the Saint John Theatre Company for years, providing an avenue to foster the growth of those interested in script writing, performing and directing.

“The goal of the program is to present local budding authors an introduction to the stage by providing a forum to showcase Maritime talent” says Second Stage committee member James Miller.

All script submissions will be reviewed by a selection committee. Those selected will be invited to workshop their script with industry experts. The scripts will then be performed at a Saint John Theatre Company-sponsored event.

Scripts must be one act only and roughly 20 to 45 minutes in length. The deadline for submissions is Feb. 28, 2010. Please submit scripts to:
