If you’re looking for something to do with your children this Sunday afternoon, join us for the launch of LOOKBOOK! A Children’s Guide to Prince Edward Island, written by Jordan McIntyre, and illustrated with paper collage by Catherine Miller.
The launch is at the Carriage House at Beaconsfield, 2 Kent Street (please use the West Street entrance), on Sunday, September 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. Meet the author and illustrator, listen to storytelling with Island historian Dr. Ed MacDonald and music with Peter Munch, do your own paper collage, and enjoy some refreshments.
LOOKBOOK! is a family resource that keeps little ones engaged with fun facts, scavenger hunts, puzzles, and games about Canada’s Garden Province. Interactive and informative, LOOKBOOK!, for children ages 6 to 11, is a great educational resource for families who want to know more about their Island.
Jordan McIntyre teaches part-time in the History Department at the University of Prince Edward Island. She was inspired to write this book after many delightful and educational trips with her three young children. Catherine Miller is an artist and mom who lives in Charlottetown.
Published by Acorn Press in Charlottetown, the book sells for $9.95 and is available in bookstores and gift shops.
