Two Book Categories:
Fiction
SUBMISSION PERIOD: April 1-June 30
The contest is open to unpublished novel-length fiction of any genre. (MS does not need to be completed, but estimated word count for the finished novel should be 65,000 words or more.)
Creative/Narrative Nonfiction
SUBMISSION PERIOD: January 1-March 31
The contest is open to unpublished book-length creative/narrative nonfiction. (MS does not need to be completed, but estimated word count for the finished novel should be 65,000 words or more.)
Non-book Awards:
Short Fiction
SUBMISSION PERIOD: January 1-March 31
The short story can be in any genre or style and should have broad appeal. See website for word count and style guidelines.
Poetry
SUBMISSION PERIOD: July 1-September 30
Poems can be in any style, up to 250 lines. Submit up to three poems per entry fee in this category (see submission formatting instructions in website).
