The Home Front in Canada during World War I – a curated exhibit – at Confederation Centre Public Library Opening reception – Thursday, June 26, 7 p.m. This exhibit runs to June 28 during regular library hours. The Library is pleased to partner with the LM Montgomery Institute to host this exhibition by Dr. Laura Robinson of Royal Military College, Kingston. Hosted in conjunction with the 11th Biennial International Conference.

Pop-up Archives for World War I stories or artifacts at Confederation Centre Public Library, Saturday, June 28, 2:00-4:00 p.m. UPEI and the Library invite you to bring in wartime diaries, letters, and albums, knitting patterns, photographs of wartime workers, nurses, and soldiers, wartime recipes, POW parcel receipts, wartime magazines or advertisements, Red Cross packing lists and patterns, and any other artifacts to have them scanned. This event provides an opportunity for members of the public to bring in war memorabilia, ephemera, and collectibles to be digitized free of charge. Digital materials collected will be assembled into an archive for research and exploration.
