Island Poems: A collaborative art project involving Prince Edward Island poets and artists from many disciplines will be mounted at The Gallery @ The Guild during poetry month this April. The interdisciplinary project marks the first time Peake Street Studios and “this town is small inc.” have joined forces. Working with the Prince Edward Island Writers’ Guild, the show will involve the interpretation, by individual artists or artist collaboration, of new works of poetry created specifically for this show.
Poets interested in submitting a poem are asked to inform peiwritersguild@gmail.com of their intent to submit by the 18th of Feb. On or before February 18th, you will be sent the guidelines for your poem.
Artists interested in participating in the art challenge are asked to contact either Peake Street Studios at peakestreet@pei.sympatico.ca, or this town is small inc. at thistownissmall@gmail.com by the 18th as well.
In Summary: Deadline for indicating your intent to submit is midnight, February 18th, and further details, submission guidelines (regarding poem form, etc.) and deadline of your submission for the show, will be available following this deadline.
