PEI Writers’ Guild Seeks 2011 ILA Coordinator

The PEI Writers’ Guild is calling for applications to the position of 2011 Island Literary Awards (ILA) Coordinator. The position will be filled by a committed, organized, independent, energetic individual who is expected to coordinate all aspects of the Island Literary Awards. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Fundraising and arranging/soliciting prizes and sponsors;
  • Managing  submissions from the call to judging;
  • Liaising with all PEI Schools to solicit student submissions for youth categories;
  • Maintaining all ILA files including excel files, and word files;
  • Organizing the judges and managing the judging procedure;
  • Preparing and disseminating press releases and public service announcements;
  • Organizing all aspects of the ILA Gala Awards;
  • Communicating and coordinating with the ILA Committee, and PEIWG Executive on all matters concerning the ILA;
  • Preparing petty cash reconciliation, budget, and final report as per templates provided
