The PEI Writers’ Guild is calling for applications to the position of 2011 Island Literary Awards (ILA) Coordinator. The position will be filled by a committed, organized, independent, energetic individual who is expected to coordinate all aspects of the Island Literary Awards. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Fundraising and arranging/soliciting prizes and sponsors;
- Managing submissions from the call to judging;
- Liaising with all PEI Schools to solicit student submissions for youth categories;
- Maintaining all ILA files including excel files, and word files;
- Organizing the judges and managing the judging procedure;
- Preparing and disseminating press releases and public service announcements;
- Organizing all aspects of the ILA Gala Awards;
- Communicating and coordinating with the ILA Committee, and PEIWG Executive on all matters concerning the ILA;
- Preparing petty cash reconciliation, budget, and final report as per templates provided
