Deadline for Submissions 23 April

The PEI Writers’ Guild is excited to announce that 4pm, Friday, 23 April, 2010 is the submission deadline for the 23rd annual Island Literary Awards The ILAs are being held this year on Sunday, 6 June.

The Awards are an important focus for the PEIWG’s vital role in the culture of literary arts on PEI.  The Awards encourage the province’s up-and-coming writers with recognition & offer cash prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in a number of categories including fiction, poetry, screenplays, creative nonfiction, & writing for children.  There are unique categories & prizes for young writers.

The PEI Public Library Service is again collaborating with the PEIWG & allowing ILA submissions to be made at any of their branches.

Complete entry guidelines including rules, eligibility, prizes, format & fees can be found online at peiwritersguild.com. Enquiries may be addressed to Craig MacDonald, ILA Coordinator, at peiwritersguild@gmail.com.

  2. Hi,
    We have a shared writing book to submit. It is originally in French and we are wondering if #1 it is too late to submit & #2 do you accept French entries? Also the book is illustrated so I am not sure if I send it as is or just the text.
