Please join the Sir Andrew Macphail Foundation for a very special celebration at the Homestead on Tuesday, October 6, from 3-6:00 pm.  Together, with the McGill-Queen’s University Press, we are hosting the official launch of Dr. Ian Ross Robertson’s biography, Sir Andrew Macphail : The Life and Legacy of a Canadian Man of Letters.  The book highlights the significance of this Island-born historic figure and pays tribute to the work that the Foundation has done to preserve his contributions over the last two decades.

We are delighted that the Programme (copy attached) will include remarks from the author, Dr. Ian Ross Robertson, as well as Professor Peter Hay from the University of Tasmania and other special guests. Chaired by Harry Baglole, the Programme begins at 3:30 pm.

The Book Launch will also provide an opportunity to acknowledge and honour the friends, members and past directors of the Sir Andrew Macphail Foundation.   The Foundation is nearing the end of its 20 year lease with the Province of PEI and the Foundation wishes to thank everyone for their countless hours of volunteer service and the many achievements attained in Orwell, PEI.

Refreshments will be served, and books will be available at a special price for purchase and signing.
