Hi there.
Hope your summer is going well. It’s amazing how quickly it flies-by, and if you’re like most people, you always lament that you didn’t get to see or do half the things you wanted. If one of those things was enjoying some home-spun Island entertainment with stories and songs, then we have some good news for you. Hedgerow is playing every Sunday evening until September 13th at 7:30 in the Harmony House theatre in Hunter River. Don’t worry about the construction. It’s almost finished…but nothing happens on Sunday at any rate, so there’s not a flagger in sight.
Below is a Youtube clip of one little segment of the show, featuring a story and song about the harvest excursions of the early 1900’s. Attached is a poster advertising the show. We hope to see you there.

My husband and I recently visited the Island, as we do most summers, and we were delighted to
discover Hedgerow. What a wonderful evening of entertainment! The story telling was first class,
with hilarious, poignant and heart warming tales. The music was superb and complemented the
stories perfectly. The entire audience was in stitches at Alan Buchanan’s storytelling. Any tourist
or Islander who wants a glimpse of the real Island should run not walk to take in this show. At
$20.00 per ticket, the value is exceptional. We had over two hours of superb entertainment in a
comfortable and cosy theatre. All in all, it was a charming evening in a charming location.
