This is the second year for the Shelburne Writers Festival and it’s just as exciting as last year. It takes place August 14-16. Authors include Donna Morrissey, Kenneth J. Harvey, Catherine Banks, Ian Colford, Brian Bartlett, Kathleen Tudor, Stephanie Domet and me, Darcy Rhyno. Events include a production of Bitter Rose, a play by GG winning playwright Catherine Banks who will be on hand both for the production and the festival. Kathleen Tudor will launch and sell copies of an illustrated chapbook consisting of her short story commissioned just for the festival. There will be an open mic/coffee house, lots of book sales and signings and of course readings by all the authors. The venues are around the historic waterfront of Shelburne, Nova Scotia, all within less than a minute walk of each other and the host venue, the Osprey Arts Centre.
